Edmonton, AB (Sports Network) - The Edmonton Oilers announced on Tuesday that forward Ales Hemsky underwent successful surgery to repair damage to his shoulder. According to several reports, including the Edmonton Journal, Hemsky has played most of the season with a torn labrum. He is expected to be fully healed in 4-to-6 months.
